Aunque las mujeres han logrado avances significativos en la conquista de derechos fundamentales
como el voto y el acceso a la educaci\u00f3n, en la actualidad la lucha se ha trasladado a la defensa de
derechos laborales, cotidianos y de g\u00e9nero. La igualdad de g\u00e9nero entre hombre y mujer no se ha
alcanzado.
Hist\u00f3ricamente, las mujeres han sido relegadas a un segundo plano en la sociedad, sin acceso a
derechos fundamentales como el voto o la educaci\u00f3n. Durante mucho tiempo, su papel se limit\u00f3 al
\u00e1mbito dom\u00e9stico, sin posibilidad de participar activamente en decisiones pol\u00edticas, sociales o
econ\u00f3micas.
Con el tiempo, y gracias a los movimientos feministas y sociales, las mujeres lograron avances
importantes. La conquista del derecho al voto y el acceso a la educaci\u00f3n representaron un gran
cambio en los derechos humanos. Estos fueron conquistados (el voto en 1930 y la educaci\u00f3n en
1950).
A pesar de estos logros, la igualdad de g\u00e9nero a\u00fan no se ha alcanzado plenamente. Existen
desigualdades notables en muchos aspectos, como la brecha salarial, el acceso a cargos de
liderazgo, el trabajo no remunerado y las discriminaciones.
Actualmente, la lucha por los derechos de las mujeres se ha enfocado en nuevas problem\u00e1ticas,
como la defensa de derechos laborales, la brecha salarial, el acceso a cargos de liderazgo y la
presencia femenina en espacios de toma de decisiones. En el mundo, solo un 25% de mujeres
ocupan ministerios.
Adem\u00e1s, muchas mujeres siguen siendo v\u00edctimas de acoso, discriminaci\u00f3n, violencia laboral,
violencia de g\u00e9nero y la revictimizaci\u00f3n de estos abusos, a pesar de las leyes que castigan a los
agresores. En muchos casos, estas leyes no se aplican de forma adecuada por falta de acci\u00f3n del
Estado, del poder judicial o de las propias instituciones.
Tambi\u00e9n en los espacios de cotidianidad las mujeres se enfrentan a estereotipos y roles tradicionales,
como el de una mujer dedicada solo al cuidado de los hijos y el hogar, mientras que todo lo
relacionado con lo dom\u00e9stico se le impone a la mujer. Por otro lado, el hombre es visto como una
persona fuerte, independiente y proveedora de recursos.
Los estereotipos de g\u00e9nero contin\u00faan influyendo en la forma en que se percibe a las personas,
asignando a la mujer roles pasivos y subordinados, mientras que a los hombres se les atribuyen
autoridad y liderazgo, lo que refuerza la desigualdad.
Por eso, la lucha por la igualdad de g\u00e9nero sigue siendo necesaria y urgente para todos.<\/p>

Aqu\u00ed est\u00e1n algunas de las mujeres que lucharon por los derechos de las mujeres:
Simone de Beauvoir, de Francia, fil\u00f3sofa y autora de \u00abEl segundo sexo\u00bb, base del feminismo moderno.
Tambi\u00e9n Emmeline Pankhurst, del Reino Unido, l\u00edder sufragista, clave en la lucha por el voto
femenino.
Sojourner Truth, de Estados Unidos, luch\u00f3 por los derechos de las mujeres y contra la esclavitud.<\/p>
